Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
*If you would like to have a few hot stones incorporated during your regular massage, please let me know so I can prepare them for you. I do not charge extra for this because everyone loves it including me! I use only the highest quality basalt stones and will check with you about your comfort level with the degree of warmth. Stones are wonderfully warming and soothing during the cold weather!
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
Over the years I have found craniosacral techniques to be extremely effective for treating the following:
Stress and anxiety
Insomnia
Headaches
Vertigo
Auto immune (ie Lupus flares)
Old injuries
Back and neck issues
Digestive issues
TMJ
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.
During the pandemic, I started treating clients and friends using distance Reiki. How it works is: I call you at the beginning of the scheduled session to discuss your treatment briefly. Then we hang up and you get comfortable, lying down, sitting in a chair, whatever works for you. On my side, I envision your energetic essence between my hands and create the Reiki symbols and words in my mind. I invite the Reiki to bathe you in its healing energy and to go wherever in your body it is needed. I hold this focus for the hour duration. At the end of the session, I call you to let you know the treatment is done and you have the opportunity to ask any questions or share your experience if you wish.

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at and moved over specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
